Highlights from the recent bipartisan mission to Israel with the leaderships of both the College Republicans and Democrats.
Each year, AIPAC sponsors three educational trips to Israel for top American college activists. This video features highlights and interviews from the Milstein Family Foundation Campus Allies Mission, the Advanced Advocacy Mission and the Bipartisan Allies Mission.
For the Bipartisan Allies Mission to Israel, AIPAC brings the leadership of College Democrats of America and the College Republican National Committee together to Israel to study America's role in the Middle East and the importance of bipartisanship in the values of the U.S.-Israel relationship.
Here's what some student leaders had to say about the trip:
A leader of the College Democrats of America:
"Traveling to Israel on the Bipartisan Allies Mission allowed each one of us [College Democrats and Republicans] to relate to one another and to Israel beyond the partisan labels that so rigidly define us in the U.S. We came together and realized how important it was to return to the U.S. commited to keeping Israel above partisan fighting as it is so salient to its security and democracy."
A leader of the College Republican National Committee:
"As a Republican, going to Israel with AIPAC was usch an eye-opening experience. Throught traveling with AIPAC, I was able to meet, interact, and engage with Democratic student leaders from around the country. Hearing their perspectives helped me better understand the bipartisan support for Israel and has helped me make an even stronger pro-Israel activist on campus."
