Dear KJ Family,

In today's fast paced world, it is easy for people to feel overwhelmed with day-to-day responsibilities. While everyone has obligations at work and at home, we also have a special duty to our community and, especially, the State of Israel. While we all want to help, finding tangible means to do so can be difficult.

One way to help is to join the KJ/Ramaz delegation attended the AIPAC Policy Conference in Washington, D.C from March 4-6. The conference is the largest pro-Israel gathering in the United States and includes speeches from presidents and prime ministers, Middle East scholars, political pundits and leading journalists. On Tuesday, some 10,000 participants storm Capitol Hill and lobby our members of Congress face to face. For the last several years, KJ/Ramaz has brought one of the largest synagogue delegations in the country. This year, we hope to do even better, but we need you to make this possible.

In the months ahead, the impact of the protest movements that swept across the Arab world in 2011 will continue to be felt throughout the Middle East with the implications for Israel still fully known. Israel needs all of us, and we must do our part. We can help ensure that no matter who assumes power in Egypt, Libya or even Syria that Israel will maintain its qualitative military edge and the Israeli people will remain safe and secure thanks to a strong US-Israel relationship.

Our leadership as a congregation and our actions as individuals - even seemingly small actions like a trip to Washington - have an impact on the policy debate in our nation's capital. That's why we need you to join our congregation's delegation to this year's AIPAC Policy Conference, March 4-6.

See you in Washington!
Rabbi Haskel Lookstein and Rabbi Elie Weinstock
