AIPAC Commends President Obama for Barring Entry to Iran’s U.N. Pick

AIPAC applauds President Obama’s decision to deny a visa to Hamid Abutalebi, who was one of the Iranian students involved in the 1979 takeover of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran. The Iranian regime’s selection of Abutalebi to serve as its ambassador to the United Nations was a flagrant and outrageous disdain for all opponents of terror. The very fact that Iranian leaders would even select such a person to represent them at the United Nations underscores the importance of maintaining vigilance against the duplicitous behavior of this regime – particularly in regard to its nuclear program.

AIPAC commends President Obama and Congress for sending a strong message that America will take a firm stand against purveyors of terror directed at the United States and its allies.
