

In celebration of 60 sixty years of friendship, Nadav Tamir, Israel’s Consul General to New England, comes to Maine for a community-wide AIPAC event to discuss “The U.S.-Israel Relationship at 60”. Consul General Tamir joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1993, serving under Shimon Peres, Ehud Barak, and David Levy. In 2001, after four years as Political Officer at the Israeli Embassy in Washington, DC, Consul General Tamir was promoted to the position of Advisor to the Director General at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jerusalem, specializing in Israeli-U.S. relations and the promotion and development of institutional reform. He has served in New England since 2006.
