The House Foreign Affairs Committee recently approved by voice vote two pieces of legislation designed to tighten sanctions on Iran over its illicit nuclear program. This legislation would also codify for the first time that it is U.S. policy to prevent Iran from acquiring or developing nuclear weapons.
