The resolution condemns Britan’s University and College Union for initiating an academic boycott of Israel, noting the Union’s “hypocritical double standard in condemning Israel, a free and democratic state, while completely ignoring gross human rights abuses occurring throughout the Middle East and around the world.” The resolution also urges the international scholarly community, the European Union and individual governments to oppose the boycott.
U.S. security assistance to Israel plays a critical role in helping the Jewish state defend itself against a myriad of threats.
