House Resolution Condemning Iran's Holocaust Denial Conference

The resolution condemns Iran's commitment to hold an international Holocaust denial conference entitled "Study of Holocaust: A Global Perspective" on December 11-12, 2006, in Tehran.  Noting Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's long track record of statements threatening to destroy the State of Israel and the regime's ongoing pursuit of nuclear weapons, the resolution denounces Ahmadinejad's "national crusade of hatred and ultimate destruction against Israel and the Western civilized world."  It also calls upon the United Nations Security Council to strengthen its commitment to preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.
