15 Ideas for Action: Campaign '08

 

• Request a position paper on Israel from all candidates running for office in your area.

• Request a meeting with the foreign policy advisor of the candidate of  your choice to discuss the candidate’s position on Israel.

• Invite candidates to campus to discuss the U.S.-Israel relationship before student audiences.

• Organize a dinner for pro-Israel campus leaders to meet privately with candidates running for office.

• Host a forum with the College Democrats and College Republicans where both sides present their candidates’ positions on Israel.

• Host bipartisan debate-watching parties co-sponsored with the College Democrats and College Republicans.

• Host an Election Night party and invite campus leaders to stop by.

• Lead the effort to educate students on how to vote by absentee ballot

• Organize transportation for pro-Israel students to polling places both for the primary and for general elections.

• Run a voter registration drive.

• Create a schedule that will allow you to work on a campaign several afternoons a week.

• Volunteer at local campaign events for the candidate of your choice.

• Recruit other pro-Israel students to volunteer at local campaign events.

• Raise money for the candidate of your choice and deliver contributions with a pro-Israel message.

• Take a semester off from school to work on a campaign full time.
