AIPAC's campus agenda

You can affect Israel's future and promote America's interests in the Middle East from your campus.

Host Leadership Events

AIPAC-trained activists will engage key campus influentials by hosting leadership events focusing on the value of the U.S.-Israel alliance. Leadership events will target student officials involved in politics and public affairs, academic faculty, and campus administrators and will draw on local and national resources to make the case for a strong U.S.-Israel relationship. Leadership events will result in a tangible outcome, such as a solidarity statement signed by attending leaders, as well as campus media coverage. Pro-Israel activists hosting leadership events will invite student leaders to explore how their constituents can work more closely with the pro-Israel movement.

Engage Members of Congress

Effective pro-Israel lobbying involves building ongoing relationships with members of Congress. While the new Congress must contend with many critical issues in this time of economic uncertainty and international tension, it is more critical than ever for AIPAC-trained activists to ensure that elected officials continue to support a strong U.S.-Israel relationship. In order to have impact, year-round contact with members of Congress is necessary and should include: calling and corresponding with congressional staff; visiting members of Congress in their district offices; inviting members of Congress to campus; organizing legislative missions to Washington, D.C.; and mobilizing student activists to support key congressional initiatives.

Broaden the Base of Pro-Israel Campus Activity

With greater numbers of young people participating in the political process, and as Middle East issues receive unprecedented attention from political leaders and media, AIPAC-trained activists are presented with a unique opportunity this fall to broaden the base of our movement.  In this context, AIPAC-trained activists will seek to engage three constituencies that may be interested in advancing AIPAC's campus agenda: incoming freshmen, Taglit-Birthright Israel alumni, and young people who have gotten involved in politics for the first time this election cycle.  AIPAC-trained activists will approach these individuals, assess their affinity for our mission and methodology, and create opportunities to empower them as pro-Israel political activists.
