Roles and Responsibilities
The Northeast Regional Political Director oversees political activity throughout New York, Northern New Jersey, and Southern Connecticut. Additional responsibilities include:
- Increasing the political participation of the pro-Israel community and training AIPAC members to build effective relationships with their elected officials.
- Managing AIPAC’s legislative mobilizations.
- Conducting educational briefings with candidates for federal office.
- Organizing and speaking at political briefings in communities throughout the region to encourage active political participation.
- Tracking and analyzing local campaign activity.
Qualifications
- Passion for a strong U.S.-Israel relationship and commitment to AIPAC’s mission.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- A minimum of 7 years of political experience, working on political campaigns, Capitol Hill, or other relevant work experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to juggle many different projects simultaneously.
- A collaborative personal style.
- Knowledge of Middle East current events a plus.
- U.S. Citizenship.
