AIPAC is a registered domestic lobby whose principal mission is to work with Congress on legislation that strengthens the relationship between the United States and Israel.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Ability to work effectively with AIPAC's staff and diverse lay leadership
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, especially on phones
  • Basic understanding of the local and national political landscape
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Must be self-motivated and independent
  • Have good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining confidentiality and good working relationships
  • Must have graduated with a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Full competency in the Microsoft Office Suite and Internet use, and ability to master data management systems including Salesforce, PledgeMaker, and Business Objects, and communications systems such as Magnetmail
  • Must be able to work in a demanding but rewarding environment

 

Qualifications
  • Mange the front office, answering the phones and interactions with members, vendors, and guests
  • Work with Area Director and regional staff, as needed, in implementation of goals and strategies
  • Assist regional staff in planning and executing events, preparing documents, scheduling, as necessary
  • Assist in planning and executing small and large-scale membership/fundraising events, including but not limited to:
    • Design of invitations, nametags, and other materials
    • Organize and track mailings and event attendance
    • Welcome and register attendees at the event
  • Manage office supplies and equipment
  • Continually assess tasks and goals, and work to streamline procedures to ensure quality control
  • Participate in weekly regional and national staff meetings
  • Implement and track various mailings
  • Manage member database and run data reports as needed
  • Process membership contributions and properly handle confidential member information
  • Organize and maintain membership and vendor records
  • Help in recruiting of members to attend local and national events
  • Other duties as assigned
