AIPAC is a registered domestic lobby whose principal mission is to work with Congress on legislation that strengthens the relationship between the United States and Israel.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Manage the front office, answering the phones, interacting with vendors and guests
  • Assist Regional Political Director in planning events, preparing documents, and scheduling, as necessary
  • Work with the Deputy Regional Director, as well as other area directors, as needed, in implementation of goals and strategies
  • Assist in planning small and large scale membership/fundraising events
  • Work with local and regional staff to ensure that goals are being met
  • Continually assess tasks and goals, and work to streamline procedures to ensure quality control
  • Management of office supplies
  • Assist in event planning, including but not limited to:
    • Design of invitations and other visuals
    • Organize and track mailings and event attendance
  • Print our and distribute daily memos and news items
  • Participate in weekly regional and national staff meetings
  • Implement and track various mailings
  • Update member database and pull lists as needed
  • Help in the recruiting of members to attend local and national events
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Ability to work effectively with AIPAC's staff and diverse lay leadership
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, especially on phones
  • Ability to work with staff engaged in various developmental and administrative functions
  • Basic understanding of the local and national political landscape
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Must be self-motivated and independent
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Have good organizational skills
  • Ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining confidentiality and good working relationships
  • Must have graduated with a bachelor's degree from an  accredited college or university
  • Full competencies in the Microsoft Office Suite, PledgeMaker, and Business Objects
  • Must be able to work in a demanding but rewarding environment
